When scheduled servicing should be done

Scheduled servicing is the regular interval the manufacturer defines in the owner's handbook to keep the vehicle in working order throughout its life. The interval is given in kilometres or months, whichever comes first. A typical interval is 15 000–30 000 km or 12 months. During the warranty period missing a scheduled service can lead to warranty being denied, if the manufacturer can show that the service would have prevented the fault. This is especially critical on items that require regular servicing: timing belt kit, cooling system, oils and filters.
