When a bushing needs replacing
A bushing is a rubber part that links the control arm to the car's body and allows controlled motion. Over time the rubber cracks and stiffens, so motion no longer absorbs and even small road irregularities transfer straight to the car. The most common symptoms: knocks at low speed on bumpy roads, steering float, uneven tyre wear and noticeable shake on braking.
